Get to know Oncologist Dr. Lukas D. Wartman, who serves patients in St. Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Wartman is a well-versed oncologist whose areas of clinical interest include the treatment of acute and chronic leukemia in adults, blood cancer, bone marrow transplant, lymphoblastic leukemia, myelogenous leukemia, and lymphocytic leukemia. Being a leukemia survivor himself, he is involved in making clinical sequencing available for cancer patients treated at the Siteman Cancer Center. Following the completion of his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin in 1998, Dr. Wartman went on to obtain his medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 2005. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in 2007, followed by his fellowships in oncology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 2011. He remains a member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation. Furthermore, he is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
